1. Information Collected
Users of the Service may be classified as Clients (individuals using the HeloraSolar platform to request services from Independent Contractors) or Independent Contractors (companies, individual users, or groups associated with other individual users or companies offering services to Clients). Independent Contractors may also operate as a Team (a legally recognized entity capable of hiring and/or contracting other Independent Contractors).

1.1.1 Personal Information
While using the Site or any of its Services (as a Client, Independent Contractor, or visitor), we may require or collect information that identifies you as an individual and can be used to contact you ("Personal Information"). Examples include your name, email address, postal address, and phone number.
1.1.2 Payment Information
If you use the Service to make or receive payments, we will collect certain payment information, such as payment card details, PayPal or other financial account information, billing address, and any information necessary for reporting purposes to the IRS or other agencies.
1.1.3 Identity Verification
We may collect Personal Information, such as your date of birth or taxpayer identification number, to verify your identity as required by law (e.g., for tax filings). We may request documents to verify this information, such as a copy of your government-issued identification or a billing statement.
1.2 General Audience Service
The Service is intended for a general audience and is only for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect or solicit Personal Information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with Personal Information, we will take commercially reasonable efforts to delete that information from our records. 1.3 Non-Identifying Information
We may also collect non-identifying information, such as zip codes, demographic data, and general project-related data ("Non-Identifying Information"). Usernames are also considered Non-Identifying Information and are publicly available through the Service.Certain Non-Identifying Information could be classified as Personal Information if combined with other identifiers in a way that enables identification (e.g., combining it with your name). However, the same information is considered Non-Identifying when taken alone or only combined with other Non-Identifying Information (e.g., viewing preferences). If we combine your Personal Information with Non-Identifying Information, HeloraSolar will treat the combined information as Personal Information.

We may receive information about you from third parties, which may supplement the information we collect. For example, this could include outside records or information provided in connection with co-marketing agreements. If we combine third-party information with our collected data, we will treat the combined information according to this Privacy Policy.

We (along with our marketing partners and service providers) use "cookies" to collect information. A cookie is a small data file transferred to your computer's hard disk for record-keeping. We utilize both persistent cookies (which remain on your device) and session ID cookies (which expire at the end of your browser session). You can instruct your browser to stop accepting cookies, but this may affect your ability to use certain functionalities of the Service.

1.5.3 Web Beacons

They are embedded in the web pages you visit or emails you receive and are used for various purposes, including counting visitors and monitoring user navigation on the Service.
1.6 Embedded Scripts
Embedded scripts are programming codes designed to collect information about your interactions with the Service, such as the links you click. This code is temporarily downloaded onto your device and is deactivated or deleted when you disconnect from the Service.
1.7 Additional Technologies
We may also use various other technologies that collect similar information for security and fraud detection purposes. We may engage third parties to perform these services on our behalf.
1.8 Response to “Do Not Track” Signals
Your browser settings may allow you to transmit a "Do Not Track" signal to the websites you visit. However, there is no consensus among industry participants about how to interpret this signal, and HeloraSolar does not alter its practices when receiving a "Do Not Track" signal from your browser.
1.9 Tracker / Gig View
As part of the Service, we collect information about an Independent Contractor's work on a project for a Client, known as Tracker. Tracker may record screenshots of your computer, including all visible programs, windows, backgrounds, and any information displayed. We will share information captured in Gig View with the relevant Client and any applicable Independent Contractor Team manager or administrator.
Independent Contractors are informed each time we capture information for Gig View. As outlined in our User Agreements, Independent Contractors may choose to block or delete screenshots for a recorded work interval; however, this may affect payment for that interval. HeloraSolar may use aggregated information from Gig View for statistical analysis, product development, marketing, and research.
1.10 User Profiles
You may have the option to create a profile, which may include Personal Information, photographs, work examples, previous work information, skills, test scores, hourly rates, feedback, and your username ("Profile"). Your Profile information may be visible to all HeloraSolar Users and the general public, depending on your privacy choices. You may edit certain Profile information via your account and limit who can view specific content.
Clients and associated Agencies may also create organizational Profiles. If you believe that an unauthorized profile has been created about you, you can request its removal by contacting us at helorasolar@gmail.com.
1.11 Community Forums
The Service may offer Community Forums where you can post content publicly (e.g., blogs, interactive features). Please be aware that your name and Profile may be displayed alongside any User Forum Content you submit. Participation in Community Forums is subject to our Forum Rules and Terms of Service. Any information you post publicly is considered public information, and the protections of this Privacy Policy will not apply.
To request removal of your personal information from our blog or community forum, please contact us at helorasolar@gmail.com. In some cases, we may not be able to remove your personal information, but we will inform you if this is the case.​
1.12 Testimonials
We display personal testimonials from satisfied customers on our site, and with your consent, we may post your testimonial along with your name. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, please contact us at helorasolar@gmail.com.
1.13 Feedback
We collect feedback from HeloraSolar Users regarding their experiences with our Service. Any feedback you provide or that is provided about you is publicly viewable. We may remove feedback in very rare circumstances in accordance with our Feedback Removal Policy.
1.14 Email to Friends and Referral Program
HeloraSolar allows you to send project postings to friends via email and offers the option to inform friends about providing or purchasing services through the Service. If you choose to use either feature, your friend's email address will be used to send the requested posting, and your email address will be used to copy you on the message.​

1.15.4 Business Relationship Management

To evaluate your application for Independent Contractor projects with HeloraSolar and prepare relevant governmental and internal statistical reports.
1.15.6 Additional Purposes
For purposes disclosed at the time you provide your information, with your consent, and as further described in this Privacy Policy.
1.16 Information Sharing and Disclosure
We may share aggregated, non-identifying information and disclose non-identifying information to third parties. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes unless we first provide you with the option to opt in or opt out of such sharing. Additionally, we may share the information we have collected about you, including personal information, under the following circumstances:
1.16.1 Information About Independent Contractors Shared with Clients and Agencies
We share information regarding independent contractors working on client projects, including details from gig discussions and work history, with clients. If an independent contractor is suspended from the HeloraSolar service, we may inform clients for whom that contractor has worked or applied. We may also share information with agencies associated with independent contractors for specific work projects. If you apply for work as an independent contractor through our service, we will share relevant information from your independent contractor profile with the applicable clients.
1.16.1.1 Service Providers
We may engage third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our service, provide the service on our behalf, perform service-related tasks (e.g., maintenance services, database management, web analytics, online advertising, payment processing, fraud detection, and enhancing HeloraSolar's features), or assist us in analyzing how our service is used. These third parties may have access to your personal information to perform these tasks on our behalf.
1.16.2 Information Sharing with Third Parties
You may be presented with opportunities to receive information and/or marketing offers from one or more third parties. If you agree to have your personal information shared, it will be disclosed to those third parties and will be subject to their privacy policies and practices. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. If you later decide you no longer wish to receive communications from a third party, you will need to contact them directly. You may also request that we share information about you with a third party, typically through your use of a social networking service (SNS) or similar interactive feature. In such cases, we will generally comply with your request.

HeloraSolar will share information with government agencies as required by law, including in connection with earnings reporting. We cooperate with government and law enforcement officials, as well as private parties, to enforce and comply with the law. HeloraSolar and its affiliates or subsidiaries may share information, including personal information, with their parent company, subsidiaries, and affiliates for business and operational purposes.

This may include sharing information during the due diligence process with potential acquiring entities or in the event of bankruptcy. We may offer sweepstakes, contests, and other promotions ("Promotions") that may require registration. HeloraSolar collaborates with network advertisers, ad agencies, analytics service providers, and other vendors to enhance our services. These partnerships allow us to gather information regarding traffic on our service, including pages viewed and actions taken during your visit. Specifically, we may work with these third parties to:

1.18 Your Choices and Opting Out
As a registered HeloraSolar user, you can update your communication preferences through your online account. To opt out of marketing emails, follow the instructions provided in those emails. Please note that we reserve the right to send you essential communications related to your account or service usage (e.g., administrative and service announcements). These transactional messages will still be sent even if you choose to opt out of marketing communications. To stop receiving text messages, simply reply "STOP" to any text message you receive.
If you access the HeloraSolar service through our mobile application, you may receive push notifications with your permission. You can modify your notification preferences in the settings menu of the app.
1.19 Changing Your Information or Closing Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the information you provide to us, including your contact details. Please ensure that you update any changes through your online account.
If you wish to access all personal information you’ve submitted, we will respond to your request within 30 days. Please note that if you choose to delete all your personal information, your account may be deactivated.
Once your account is deactivated or if you request to close it, you will no longer have access to the Service. To delete your account from our system, log into HeloraSolar and navigate to Settings > User Settings, then click on the Close My Account link. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to honor your request; however, certain information may still persist within the Service even after you close your account. This includes information from Gig Discussions and any messages you posted.
Additionally, your personal information may remain in our archives. Information that you update or delete, as well as data associated with a closed account, may still be retained internally for administrative purposes. It is not always possible to completely remove or delete information from our databases.
Please remember that neither you nor GreenLancer can erase all copies of information that has been previously shared with others through the Service.
1.20 Security
HeloraSolar takes commercially reasonable steps to protect and secure the information it collects and stores about its users. All access to our sites is encrypted using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS) technology. When you enter sensitive information, such as your tax identification number, we encrypt the transmission of that information using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. Additionally, we employ HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) to provide an extra layer of protection for our users.
However, it is important to remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or any electronic storage method, is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal data, HeloraSolar cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us. By submitting any such information, you agree to hold HeloraSolar harmless for any privacy breaches that may occur.
1.21 International Transfers of Personal Information
HeloraSolar is a United States-based company. If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, HeloraSolar will transfer your Personal Information to the United States for processing. Please note that the United States may not have the same data protection laws as the country from which you initially provided your information.
When we transfer your information to the United States, we will protect it as described in this Privacy Policy. By visiting our Service or providing HeloraSolar with any information, you fully understand and consent to the transfer, processing, and storage of your information in the United States as outlined herein.

1.24 California Residents - Your California Privacy Rights
